Governing Board

As per the Education Act, each school must set up a Governing Board composed of parents, staff members, students (for secondary schools and centers), and community representatives. This official body has specific functions and powers related to the educational services, extracurricular services, and the material and financial resources of the school or center.

Each Governing Board establishes its rules of operation and internal management to promote efficiency and make decisions that reflect the needs of the community, while ensuring compliance with the Education Act. In other words, the members of the Governing Board approve, adopt, and provide opinions on various aspects of school life.

Meetings are public, and parents are welcome to attend if their child is enrolled at St. Jude Elementary.
